I'm not getting sick, I'm not getting sick!

I think I'm getting sick. Last night about 9pm I started getting queasy with the shakes and sweats and the queasy part lasted all night - fun.

Then this afternoon my throat started hurting and I have the sniffles and feel generally miserable. I do not handle sore throats well. So I have nothing good to post except maybe it's just the weather changing. Until I find out you might want to stay away...

She's baaaaaccckkkk...

Happy Birthday Brad Paisley! Just had to get that out.

So I thought for a minute that I'd just totally give up blogging. Again. But I realized I need something to do on cold winter days at least, and I love fall colors, so I guess I'll blog til spring and then see what happens. :)

I actually got to do some fun stuff yesterday and enjoyed myself for once...

Waffle House with Dad & D to start the day. I like hot sauce on my eggs. Don't judge me.

When I was little my grandfather told me I was in "Deep Kimchi" if I was in trouble. It's literally a real thing.

My favorite wine I have only found in one other place.

I also bought a case few bottles of Two Buck Chuck, Trader Joe's brand.

We had a blast. And I'm not hungover this morning which I think is pretty cool. I'm gearing up for Falcons and going to make some smokies and Pigs in a Blankets...ahhh.

Time to relax...sort of.

So I say relax but I can't remember the last time I actually did. The past few weekends have been so hectic that I haven't done much house cleaning at all. I planned on getting up early Saturday to do it but instead I went to breakfast with dad, to Wally World with Mom after and drooled over Christmas decor...finally made it home to clean some but spent some of that time on the couch watching The Kardashians and tried to hold onto as many brain cells as I could. Finally got sone cleaning done Sunday so all in all it was an ok weekend!

R.I.P. Pappy 1/2/1936-10/9/2012

I write blog posts about almost anything or anyone else...most of which aren't very important. Today's post is about someone that was and will always be very important to me - my grandfather who I called Pappy. He has been gone a week today.

Pappy was my mom's father, and I spent a lot of time with him growing up because he and my grandmother would take care of me when I was little while my mom and dad worked. He was really the only grandfather I ever knew or had.

He always told my mom I was going to be a girl before I was even born. He was sure of it for some reason. He really wanted a granddaughter.

He taught me how to fish. He worked in his garage a lot and I liked to hang out with him. Because of him I'm not squeamish about squirrel tails or gutting and skinning a deer. I think I inherited my hot pepper sauce eating from him. I knew to act right or I'd get a spanking. Although he never did give me one.

He always got a big smile when he would see me. Mom said he didn't say "I love you" a lot but I was glad for the times I heard it from him.  Even in his last days I know he knew I was there.  I even showed him that I was having a beer (he loved beer) and I think he smiled a little.  I even did something that made him laugh in the midst of him barely able to talk or move, but a laugh it was. I will hold onto that forever because I remember all the times he was healthy and strong and laughing.

The last time I saw him before he got really sick and passed away he was showing me some books, and I enjoyed just sitting and spending a few hours there with him and mom. I thought at first I would be bored when I started coming over on Thursdays, but I wasn't at all. My husband told me to take lots of mental pictures and memories and I did.

In this past week I've found that there are things that pop into my head that I want to ask him. Just simple things like about getting gun licenses and fishing. I will always regret the moments I could have stayed longer, the times I should have visited and didn't, the really important moments in life.

I remember when my husband's grandfather died his grandmother said, "I know we had a lot of time together...but I just wish we had a little more time."

Don't we all wish we had just a little more time together...?

RIP Pappy

Sorry for the lack of updates, my grandfather passed away this week. Will be back up soon!

People are dumb.

Among the things I've had said to me today:

"I need you to look at my policy and all I have with me is my name."

Well, at least you've got that with you...

Next:

"When I saw how much my premium went up I pooped in my pants."

I think he was serious. He literally said, "Pooped". And seriously while arguing with me he said how shitty all of this was. I could only try to contain my laughter.

And finally, same guy - (and I say finally but I've got 2 hours left) "I need you to reduce my premium by $100 or I can't eat for at least 3 weeks."

And then when I tell him his options he wants to do none of them and says, "Fine! I just wont eat!"and hangs up.

Buddy, if you go for 3 weeks without eating I probably wouldn't worry about having that lower deductible because I doubt you'll be around to care...plus you'll have nothing to poop your pants with so that sounds like a win-win!
